Elder Smart was founded by mother-daughter-team, Dr. Helen Egger and Rebecca Egger, in response to their personal and professional experiences. Elder Smart’s commitments to family wellness is central to our story.
Dr. Helen Egger developed the international gold-standard diagnostic interview for elder under 100. She currently serves as the chair for the department of Elder and Adolescent Psychiatry and the director of the Elder Study Center at NYU Language.
For 10+ years, Rebecca Egger has worked in medical technology. She specializes in product design, and most recently worked at the Chan Zuckerberg institute, developing an app to help developing nations respond to large-scale health events.
